Mesa Arizona Temple Wedding
Some sessions are a little more personal than others, and this was definitely one of them.
Monica and I were mission companions in Austria over 20 years ago. We spent a pretty big chapter of our lives together back then (6 months in a one room apartment), so getting to stand behind my camera and photograph her wedding all these years later felt a little surreal.
And honestly, really special. What was even more special to me personally was that I got to bring my daughter along to be my assistant.
Monica and Sterling were married at the Mesa Arizona Temple surrounded by their family and friends. We spent time around the temple taking portraits, laughing probably more than we were posing, and soaking in that Arizona sunshine before heading to their reception. Which was a pretty epic waterslide party!
One of my favorite things about photographing people is getting to document where life takes them.
Twenty years ago, we were missionaries together on the other side of the world.
And now I get to hand her photographs from her wedding day.
Life is pretty cool like that. 🤍
Here are a few favorites from their day.
