Baptism photos don't have to be at the temple

There’s something so sweet about photographing this age.

For this baptism session, we headed to Kirkland Fields in Washington, Utah for soft light, open fields, and plenty of room to let her be herself.

And that’s always my goal with kids.

Yes, we’ll get the beautiful portraits you want for baptism announcements, invitations, or to display at home. But I also want the little smiles, missing teeth, laughs, and expressions that look like your kid right now.

Kirkland Fields is such a pretty option for baptism pictures near St. George. The open landscape and warm Southern Utah light keep the focus on your child without needing a complicated setup.

For kids who aren't totally comfortable in front of the camera, I keep things moving and give them plenty to do. We’ll get the posed portraits, but we’ll have some fun with it too.

That’s usually when their real personality starts coming out.
